The Tour of the Orchard County offers cyclists a choice of 2 routes through an incredible landscape steeped in myth and legend. This iconic event is fast becoming the most talked about sportive on the Irish cycling calendar.
Can I Enter the Tour of the Orchard County online?

Yes, this is the only way that this event can be entered.

When is the closing date for Entry to the Tour of the Orchard County?

The closing date for entries is 20th June 2012 or when 1000 participants have entered.

What is the Entry fee?

The entry fee for the event is £25, regardless of which route you choose. There will also be a booking charge.

What all is included for my entry fee?

What if I cannot attend on the day?

Unfortunatly there are no refunds once you have entered the event

How can I check that I have entered successfully?

Online entrants will receive a confirmation email from the online entries system.

Is there an age restriction on entering The Tour of the Orchard County?

All entrants must be 18 or over on the day of the event.

What time is registration and where is it?

The event will run from the Armagh City Hotel. Registration will take place in the grounds of the Armagh City Hotel.

What time will registration and the event take place?

Registration will be open from 8am with the event kicking off at 10am, first rider will be on the road for 10am.

What do I need to bring with me on the day?
Manidatory Kit

  • Road Bike in good condition
  • Helmet
  • Water Bottle
  • Puncture repair kit
  • Spare tube
  • Pump and tire levers

  • Mobile phone with credit
  • Money and ID
  • Gels and Snacks
  • Windproof, Gilet and Rain Cape

What type of bike is suitable for the event?

A road bike is suitable for the event.

Where are the feed stations located?

There will be two feed stations on the shorter route and three feed stations on the longer route. More details of these will be given closer the time and confirmed on the morning as you sign on.

Will there be first aid and medical support on the day?

Ambulances and roving medics will be available all day. Should anyone require medical assistance it will be administered in the fastest possible timeframe. As well as this, there will be a visible marshal presence on the entire route.

Where is the official finish?

The event will finish at the grounds of the Armagh City Hotel.

Is there free carparking?

Car parking is free and is located in the grounds of the Armagh City Hotel, event parking will be clearly marked upon arrival.

Is there changing and shower facilities?

Certain facilities will be available in the Armagh City Hotel, where the event is being held.

Can I change from one route to another route after I have registered for the event?

Yes – email us with your request and we will do our best to accommodate you.

What if I withdraw from the event on the day?

If you pull out of the event having started earlier in the day you MUST inform event control at the start finish area that you have done so.

Will there be any after event entertainment?

There will be a BBQ and Music after the event in the grounds of the Armagh City Hotel.
